Climbing up Sneads Hill
Description:
Loaded Coal Train led by SCL 2011 has come off the Savannah River Trestle and is beginning the climb up Sneads Hill near Evans, Georgia on the Spartanburg Sub. These heavy Coal Trains oftened stalled and had to be broken into sections to get over the hill. Each section would proceed to the siding at Martinez, several miles away. Me and my friend camped out right here many times and saw the action. This Picture was among the first Photos I took. Sorry for the poor quality, as it was taken with a cheap 110 Camera.
