The Track in the background is the former C&WC mainline and also ACL. In 1973, the Tracks were consolidated through here and the C&WC was abandoned. The lines split again at SALAK Jct. |

Northbound Pigs rolling through Folkston, Georgia This is my first trip to Folkston and I am amazed at all the Trains running here. The recent abandonment of the Dupont Subdivision as well as portions of the Gulf Coast Sub have resulted in many Trains being rerouted through Folkston. Notice the track on the right that extended through town. This spot is directly where the Folkston Platform would be constructed in 2001. |
