Switching at Southover Yard
Title:  Switching at Southover Yard
Description:  GP-16 leads a cut of cars out the northend of Southover Yard at Staley Avenue. I was told by Signal Maintainer there once was Semaphores atop the Signal Bridge here. This was a great location until the crossing was replaced by an Overpass.

Augusta Sub Action
Title:  Augusta Sub Action
Description:  Augusta-Port Royal Local Train arrives at Yemassee, SC led by FL/SBD 4797. It is Summer, 1984 and CSX has put up notice of abandonment of the line to Port Royal. I am here to document as many Trains as possible on the Branch. But the line would be sold to the SC Ports Authority and service would continue. In less than a year, the Diamonds and this trackage will be removed and the Augusta Sun connection track will be reconfigured into a sort of Fish Hook alignment. The Augusta Sub still connects here today, but sad to say, the Port Royal Railroad quit in 2003, and the tracks were just recently torn up.
