This is just north of Kingsland, Georgia on the former Everett (Now Kingsland) Sub. The Train is the "Rocket" and has worked the former SAL line north from Jacksonville. It has completed its work here at Kingsland and is ready to roll north to Bladen where it will then turn west onto the Brunswick Sub for Waycross. The former SAL was severed and abandoned north of Thalmann to Riceboro in 1985. This Trackage will also be abandoned in less than 2 years. The Train still runs today via the nearby A Line. |
