Everett Sub Action
The Riceboro Turn is heading south on the Everett Sub at Richmond Hill, Georgia. This view looks to the south showing the recently renewed Trackwork. The CTC Signal in the distance gives a "High Green" to the south. But it would not be for much longer. The end was near for this route south of Riceboro. I had no clue either. This was the SAL's "Racetrack' to Florida!!!! The CTC remained in service for a short time after the abandonment, but was deactivated in the Summer of 1986. Signal equipment was removed in 1991. Today, the route is operated by a shortline and the track here is much deteriorated over the years since it was downgraded.
